During the pandemic, online sales were critical to the survival of many retail businesses. De Beers challenged us to reimagine the experience of buying a diamond engagement ring online - with a ‘configurator’ at its heart.
Reflecting De Beers unsurpassed quality and impeccable customer service, our proposal featured a mobile-first customer flow which empowered individuals through a journey of discovery and inspiration, to find their perfect diamond, entirely personal and unique to them. Our seamless omni-channel solution meant that customers could continue their online journey in store providing sales staff with priceless customer insight and lead generation.
As group creative director, I orchestrated the full response; driving design excellence, innovation and a simple, compelling narrative. Presented to the C-suite, the full strategic proposal was a resounding success, securing AKQA’s place on De Beers’ agency roster.
