As creative director, I aimed to surpass all client expectations and craft a beautifully simple and intuitive digital experience, aligned with the astounding service and cutting-edge expertise for which Coutts is renowned. Superb customer satisfaction in the new platform reaffirmed Coutts.com as first in its class, providing industry leadership in the age of personalised banking.

Typography and palette_____
The sans-serif typeface Gill Sans designed by Eric Gill and released by Monotype in 1928 provides a timeless, classic and confident tone. Titles are set in capitals, stylised with open letter-spacing, and body copy is set conventionally with spacious line-height. Coupled with Coutts Caslon for the occasional italic flourish; the two fonts work in perfect harmony.
The palette was designed to celebrate Coutt’s iconic gold. A sophisticated array of greys contrast with the, sparingly used, metallic - elevating its presence wherever it’s used.

Following the successful launch of Coutts.com, AKQA strengthened their partnership with Coutts by delivering their world-class online banking platform.
Intuitive and simple, the reimagined digital service gives customers a clear view of their Coutts accounts and everything needed to manage daily finances and investment portfolios. With security as a priority, the service featured cutting-edge facial recognition and fingerprint biometric integration.
As creative director, my role spanned from concept to delivery; managing the multidisciplinary team whose work effectively future-proofed the platform for years to come.
